All these little things.

I'm a firm believer in having a good balance of being social and having me time, but sometimes that me time just translates in to 'sit and feel sorry for me' time which I'm not really down with. I like to have a positive vibe but sometimes I let little things build up and it's taken me a long time to realise that's it's okay to be annoyed about something small. Everyone's situations are different and there will always, always be someone worse off than you but you know what, it's okay to get upset if you smash your phone screen, if your coffee leaks and ruins the only handbag and purse you have in the country, If you haven't seen your other half for months or even if someone says something a bit shitty to you at work for no reason but as cliché as it is, tomorrow really is another day. The real issue is how you deal with these things, I let myself mope for a little bit but then I like to reclaim my alone time to think about all the little moments in life that make me feel great.

My Sunday Morning Playlist

I'm a firm believer that the music you listen too can affect your mood significantly and I like to have a playlist for every mood. Feeling a bit down, I put on my positive playlist and dance about till I feel better, need a good cry, there's  my heartbreakers playlist and for when I need to kick ass whilst I workout I have girl power/get those squats done playlist. That's all a bit extreme for a Sunday Morning though so for that I like to listen to something a bit more relaxing.

At the moment I seem to be listening to a lot of Ed Sheeran's older stuff but I feel like that always happens when an artist brings out new material,  it jog's my memory and I then I start to remember all of the songs I used to love but just haven't thought to listen to in a while, which in itself brings back so many lovely memories. So this playlist has a lot of throwback songs but It's been so nice to reminisce while listening to them and it's just the kind of background music I need while I sit and sip my coffee and catch up on all my blog reading. Hope you all Enjoy!

Happiness is a Sunday.

Sometimes I have weeks where lots of little things happen that bring me down little by little, where everything adds up and I just don't feel ready to face the world and it's these times that I feel the best thing I can do is take a little bit of time to think about the little things that lift me up. These post's are actually some of my favourites to write up as the always put me in a positive place to face the week even if no amount of coffee will ever make me ready to face a Monday Morning.

Five things 2016 taught me and Ten Goals for 2017.

All photo's are my own except for the top left which is by the lovely @Sykereasy on Instagram.

This is going to be a rambling post so I suggest you get yourself a nice cuppa and a cosy little reading spot. I'm making an effort to blog more this year and also to write more on a personal level as opposed to ode's to my new lipstick. Which don't get me wrong, you'll still get some of those kind's of post's, I think my love of pretty thing's is just an integral part of my personality now but I want to take this blog in a different direction and share thing's that are important to me.

2016 was a strange year, I'm sure I'm not the only one who feels this way, In some ways everything is the same but in others' it feels like so much has happened and I fell that this time next year the world may have changed a lot more than we can imagine. On a personal level I'm in a completely different place than I was this time last year, I mean I'm literally living in a different country but also in the way I feel about certain things and about myself. I've also been thinking about what could have caused this change in my mindset and I realised that this past year has taught me a lot.

Payday Wishlist: Animal Print Obsession

1 | 2 | 3 | 4 | 5

Another payday, Another month of window shopping and It will not come as a surprise to anyone who know's me, especially the one's who have lived with me, That I'm obsessed with leopard print this month which honestly isn't really much of a change from the norm. I mean I wouldn't ever wallpaper my house with it or wear it head to toe, that's way too much for me but when it comes to accessories for me or my room, I would happily buy them all. So it suits me just fine that everyone else has cottoned on and there's so much of it around this season.

Taking a Leap of Faith back to the girl I used to be.

My ideas for this little blog may change on a day to day, hour to hour basis but the one thing that has remained constant is that I wanted to include more personal post's. Slightly like journal entries but not so personal I feel that I have nothing for myself and honestly, more than a little rambling so if your willing to read through them then bless you and I hope they help you as they have helped me.

I've written a few up so far and honestly the whole process has been more cathartic than I ever thought it could be so whether this post is read by many or none, I'm glad it's out there. So, I may or may not have been banging on about the fact I'm moving to Paris in a week's time but as my departure date becomes closer and closer I'm starting to look at so many aspects of my life and realise just how much has changed this year. Not just in my outer life but with who I am as a person and it could not be more welcome.

On my Travels : A Little Trip to Paris

Seeing as for the next few months of my life, I'll be living just outside Paris and spending Christmas living the Disneyland dream, I thought I'd share a few pictures from my trip to the city with Mama C last year. I'm excited to move but understandably a bit apprehensive but looking at these photo's and the one's from my multiple trips to Disney as a kid has been helping me to stay on the right side of excited (until I'm trying to fit all my stuff into a suitcase and then I'll be stressing again because I don't travel light at the best of times.)

Products Worth their Price - Soliel Tan De Chanel Bronzer Review

Chanel Soleil Tan De Chanel | RRP £32.00

I normally love a good bargain and I don't necessarily agree with bloggers who tell everyone they need to buy extortionately priced products every other post but there are a few products that I will happily spend the extra money on and as I've been beauty and skin care obsessed for quite a while now there are quite a few of them. So I thought I'd start a little  series about the products that I can't live without and will continue to repurchase even if my bank account isn't as happy about it as I am. I'm kicking it off with a product I'm sure you'll all have heard of but maybe under it's original name: Chanel Bronze Universal, renamed a few years ago as the Soleil Tan De Chanel and as with the majority of Chanel products, In my humble opinion, It's worth every single penny and  I'll just tell you why:

Change is Coming.

The title is a bit ominous and I have to say I'd prefer it if you read it in a Game of Thrones style in your head. However in this case change is definitely a good thing and I'm very happy that Winter is Coming  this year (couldn't resist, It's a long wait for Season 7.) For a long time I felt a little bit stuck, like I was doing everything I could to move forward but whenever I stopped to look I was in the same position. However suddenly things have started to happen very quickly, scarily quickly and I'm embracing every opportunity.

The Payday Wishlist.

Back in the day when this blog was just a little tyke,  my first ever post was my November Wishlist, so it only seemed fitting that one of my first post's after my hiatus is another collage of a few things I would love to buy if money wasn't an option. I almost forgot how much fun it was to window shop the web and put together these posts...Until today when I managed to spend a good few hours in between actual work perusing all the usual suspects (and subsequently having palpitations after putting it all into my Asos basket and seeing the total before emptying it again, tip of the day, never do that if your watching the pennies.)

Happiness Is a Sunday

It's been a long time since I've been able to sit and write up one of these post's and I'd forgotten how lovely it is to reflect on the nicer things in life. There's been times over the past few years where it's felt like slogging away wasn't really getting me anywhere but I've come to realise that sometimes you just have to take a step sideways and reflect on all the positive things that have been happening and know progress is about staying focused and positive. So here's a few things that have been keeping me upbeat over the last few months.

Skin Saviour: REN Invisible Pores Detox Mask

I'll admit I'm a little bit late to jump on the REN bandwagon, When a lot of other bloggers were raving about the products I was busy pretending that I had enough skincare products and didn't want to buy anymore for the foreseeable future. Once I was done lying to myself I took a little trip to the M and S Beauty Hall with a voucher kindly donated by the mother and picked up this little gem.

Sunday Series: A Few Links

Time flies when you have a million and one things to do and not enough hours in the day. Seriously though, where have these past few weeks gone? How is it nearly Halloween? And why do I only have seventy three shopping days until Christmas? (Yes, I am that person with a Christmas Countdown on my phone all year round...) Whilst I get over my realisation that we're nearly halfway through October, Here are some link for you guys of posts that I've loved reading this week.

MAC Sumptuous Olive

I first came across this shade a few years ago but I always overlooked it whenever I visited a store as I'm not really one for colourful eyeshadows, I'm definitely a neutral girl with eye makeup so I tend to avoid all of the green/blue shades at mac and for some reason I've been convinced since I was a kid that blue and green definitely do not work on blue eyes (probably made that up in my head after I had to do blue eyes/red lips for my first and last disastrous dance show when I was a kid, I fell over onstage while dressed as a rabbit and of course there's a video, I don't think I need to say anymore.) However after swatching this on a whim and realising that it's more of a khaki gold shade than a green I had to have it.

Happiness Is a Sunday

Hope you guys are all well, Life has been a bit hectic for me lately with moving back to Nottingham, my course restarting, working and of course trying to avoid all beauty blogs for fear of wanting to buy anything and everything makeup related that they post even though I am supposed to be a responsible grown up and therefore not allowed to spend my food shopping money on mascara...

Chanel Perfection Lumiere Velvet

I'm not really one for expensive foundations, don't get me wrong I've tried a handful that I've really liked but just not enough to repurchase. Except that is, for my beloved Chanel Pro Lumiere, which I couldn't repurchase as I had the perfect timing to go and fall in love with it just before it was discontinued which meant I could never buy another bottle, gutted doesn't cut it. So I've been keeping an eye out for any new Chanel Foundation launches and I got this a few days after it was released back in April and I have to say I like it, In fact, I like it a lot.

Sunday Series: A little me time.

Sometimes I think the best think for everyone is to take a little bit of a time out. The majority of people who meet me think I'm very calm and relaxed person, which couldn't be further from the truth. So you see the writing on that jumper up there, It's all a big lie. Basically I don't do duvet days, In fact my mum laughed at me when I bought this because I'm really bad at relaxing. I'm one of those people who can sit and stress and turn the smallest issue into Mt.Everest within an hour and I always need something to be getting on with. I can just about get it together to sit and read a good book but even then I have to keep putting it down to go and bounce about the house and find something else to do. If I'm not at college every weekday or working at the weekends I fill my days off up so I'm always out and about somewhere or getting through my daily to do list that never seems to end. Though sometimes it all gets a bit much and I feel the need to take a bit of time on my own to recharge by binge watching America's Next Top Model and The Bake Off (the two don't go hand in hand I know), drink coffee and eat my body weight in Veggie Percy Pigs which I need to tell you all are better than the originals in case it sways you next time you make a purchase. I failed slightly at the duvet day as I popped to town in the morning but I made up for it with a nice long shower and a massive pampering session later on.

What do you like to do to relax and take some time away from the world?

Do I really need a Duster Coat?

Black Check New Look | Orange Topshop | Grey Jaquard River Island

The answer to that question is of course, No, I don't need one, mainly because they aren't a winter coat and I can't even justify it with saying that one would be good for autumn as they aren't waterproof and here in Britain that is a A/W necessity really. However, even after all that, the answer to do I want a Duster coat? Is a resolute, Yes. So I thought I would share with you my top picks of trans seasonal coats that I do not need and will not be buying but are still oh so pretty.

Maybelline Baby Skin Instant Fatigue Blur in 'Warm Apricot'

Maybelline Baby Skin Instant Fatigue Blur RRP £7.99

I wasn't a huge fan of the original Baby Skin Primer, I like a dewy foundation and as a mattifying primer it obviously doesn't work in that respect. However as I am one of those people who has to find something to do every hour of every day or I don't know what to with myself I have tired, dull skin 99.9% of the time, so I thought this might just work out for me and you know what, it does...sometimes.

A day in the sunshine.

Tshirt Primark | Shorts Zara | Shoes Primark

Last week my mum and I decided to take advantage of the sunny weather and go for a wander round the park and of course stop for cake. I got the chance to wear my Zara shorts that I mentioned a few posts ago and my new favourite shoes. I was all set to buy the Topshop pair I mentioned in my wishlist last week but then I saw these in Primark for only £7 so I couldn't resist a good bargain.
