Do I really need a Duster Coat?

The answer to that question is of course, No, I don't need one, mainly because they aren't a winter coat and I can't even justify it with saying that one would be good for autumn as they aren't waterproof and here in Britain that is a A/W necessity really. However, even after all that, the answer to do I want a Duster coat? Is a resolute, Yes. So I thought I would share with you my top picks of trans seasonal coats that I do not need and will not be buying but are still oh so pretty.

A day in the sunshine.

Last week my mum and I decided to take advantage of the sunny weather and go for a wander round the park and of course stop for cake. I got the chance to wear my Zara shorts that I mentioned a few posts ago and my new favourite shoes. I was all set to buy the Topshop pair I mentioned in my wishlist last week but then I saw these in Primark for only £7 so I couldn't resist a good bargain.

I can never resist a great pair of heels.

And that's the truth, I'm a sucker for shoes, for everything else I can be a bit practical, I can use the same handbag everyday, buy the same jeans in every colour, always have some kind of plain black leather jacket but when it comes to shoes I can't resist a pretty pair, especially when the pair is both pretty and on sale and this year the sales have been very good to me, I'll post more of my bargains soon.

I last did one an ootd all the way back in December as I've been a busy bee but I got a couple of days off last week and I loved having a little bit of time to relax and do things at a slower pace than has been the norm for the past few weeks. I wore this outfit for food shopping with Jon, I know such a crazy way to spend my day off but I do enjoy a good trip to asda now that I'm officially great at finding all the bargains. It has made me realise though just how much more expensive the healthy food is as opposed to all the junk, I thought people were just being lazy when they said they couldn't afford healthy food but it is actually difficult when you don't have a lot to spend.

I've basically been wearing all black everyday for the past six weeks straight so I thought I'd go for a bit of colour with my jumper, I decided to go for a pastel as too much colour would be a shock to the system after all this time and this mint green is such a lovely colour and it's so comfortable too. I originally went to put on black jeans but I couldn't face it so I had to get out my Topshop Leigh jeans which are quickly becoming my favourite pair, might have to get a few more colours. I wore my usual coat which I love so I might actually be sad once the warm weather comes as I'll have to put it away although I genuinely cannot wait till summer.

Finding the Perfect Christmas Party Dress is easier said than done.

It might seem to some like the easiest decision ever but I know that there are so many ladies out there that are like me and can't find the perfect Christmas party dress for the life of them, everything I try on seems to be not quite right. The three that have caught my eye this season are all from Little Mistress and for once I haven't been drawn to all things sequinned and sparkly (I think I've already overloaded on glitter with my christmas tree, so much so that Jon is considering a ban on anything sparkly next year...)

The first dress I've been drawn to is this lovely red peplum dress, I love the origami detailing and the colour is gorgeous, red dresses always make me think of christmas time. I'm not a big fan of strapless dresses as I spend the majority of my night praying it will stay up but I think I need to be a little bit braver this year and maybe invest in a better strapless bra...

The second contender is this stunning cream bodycon dress with black lace, I adore how the lace is placed to create an hourglass figure and I don't think you can ever go wrong with monochrome as it just means you get to play around with makeup and accessories My only issue with this is that the majority of it is cream, great for a meal where I can tuck a napkin in the top to protect it but if I go down town I may as well chuck a drink down myself before I go as it'll happen at so many points during the night anyway.

The final dress is this black bodycon dress with mesh panels, which even though it's the simplest of the three, it has a classic chic feel with a little modernity added by the cutout sections. I really love the back of this dress which you can see if you click on the link under the photo's, it does mean that I would definitely have to wear my hair up if I chose it (not by law or anything but you can't cover up pretty back detailing can you.) I love that like the first dress I would be able to go all out with the accessories, so of course I would be able to justify the purchase of this little number (only in my ind however, my bank balance definitely doesn't stretch that far.)

I would love to be able to say that I wear nice outfits all the time and present myself well everyday but it would be one hell of a lie since I spend seven days a week in uniform (either my black dance uniform or my work uniform) and save for the occasional evening out the rest of my life is spent in my pj's or joggers because after dancing/working all day the thought of real clothes is just too much. Since I don't have a choice with my uniforms what better things to spend my money on than lovely pj's and lounge wear that isn't my usual sports direct chic, seriously as ugly as they are you can't beat a pair of mens joggers when your aching so much you can't move and you just want to relax in front of a cosy fire with a cuppa and watch Strictly Come Dancing. So I thought I would put together a list of all the pretty but cosy items I'm wanting this month.

Leggings are a staple for me when I want to be relaxed and Jack Wills have a great selection of printed ones that are perfect for lounging round the house. Most of them are on sale at the moment and I'm thinking I might have to pop this fairisle pair on my Christmas list and maybe a few others as a girl can never have too many pairs of leggings. Or slippers for that matter, My favourite kinds are the slip on pairs like this light brown pair from New Look or these adorable Panda ones from next, They are so comfy and keep your feet warm. I'm also slightly obsessed with Boot Slippers like this grey pair from Next, I don't really know why but I actually love them for mooching about the house and they are ridiculously toasty warm in winter.

You also can't go wrong with a good hoodie, I normally steal borrow Jon's but I'd quite like a cosy one all of my own and this one from Jack Wills looks so cosy, definitely appropriate for curling up in front of the fire in. I also love these baggy long sleeved tops that are so comfortable and easy to wear but are also okay to wear outside of the house. Topshop bring out a slightly different version every year and I've lost count of how many of them I've had over the years, they really are so versatile, Primark also do a nice version this year which you can see in this post, which are a lot cheaper but I do have a soft spot for the Topshop versions. Vest tops are a staple too as they can be layered under everything for exra warmth and I love this grey version by skin from Net a Porter.

There's also some pretty items on my list which are the kinds of things that I wish I wore to lounge around in but being the coldest person ever I just can't do it. These little new look shorts are adorable and I might actually get them to wear in summer so at least I can pretend to be glamorous at some point in my life. I also love this silk playsuit/teddy from Eberjay/Net a Porter which is stunning, you'd definitely feel like a VS angel in something like this (because clearly not having the outfit is the only thing stopping me from being one...) but I think there's no way you wouldn't feel glamorous in this. I've also become obsessed with dressing gowns at the moment, I already have two (one at my house and one at my mums) but of course I need one at Jon's too so I never have to go without one, This grey version would be perfect but I'm thinking it will more likely be a Primark wonder for me (I do have my eye on a big fluffy polka dot number that is not man repelling in the slightest...might have to find something else aha.)

August Wishlist

You wouldn't think that it's supposed to be summer with all the black that's on my wishlist but I have to say that now the sun is gone I'm kind of just waiting for autumn, is anyone else with me on this? Cold weather aside there's just something about autumn that makes me so happy and I do have a lot of love for all the layering I get to do in the colder months as well as all the dark, rich colours,  A/W fashion is just so much kinder to me and my pale self.

One thing that I really want to get my hands on this season is a leather look skirt, This one by River Island is perfect as I find pencil skirts are the best fit for me and I'm also loving that it doesn't have an extortionate pricetag. Alongside their great clothes River Island also do lovely accessories and I just couldn't resist putting these little pug socks on here. Everyone needs socks to keep their feet warm, why not have ones with cute little pugs on?

I'm still in love with statement necklaces, I feel like they really add something to an outfit without going too far. This one from Zara is gorgeous and I love the muted colours but they also have some lovely faux jeweled numbers that I'm thinking would be great for the party season.

My next item is something that I will probably never buy but I've just fallen for it. I find jumpsuits and playsuits really difficult to wear as I have a long torso and they just never fit me but If they did then I would buy this lovely lace sleeved version from Warehouse, no idea where I would wear but I'm sure I would find somewhere. I also really like their painted floral print scarf, I have a small scarf collection (by that I mean I have a problem and shouldn't buy any more) but I feel like this would fit in perfectly.

I've been wearing Coco Madamoiselle religiously since I was thirteen and even though I've flirted with other scents, I've always had a bottle of this on the go. However I'm nearly out so I will be needing a new bottle to keep me going. I have dropped a few hints to Jon that this is what I would like for our anniversary but I don't know if they were too subtle and he hasn't got them. If not I will appreciate the present he picked out by himself which to be fair he normally picks out awesome things for me and I'll buy my own, because I don't need a man to buy my Chanel for me (but let's be honest It would be nice, that stuff's pricey!)

Lastly now that the great black handbag search of 2013 is over I've began a new search for the perfect pair of black pointed heels. Obviously the perfect pair would have a red sole but I need time to save up for those, until then I think this pair from Asos is a contender. I love the faux suede and the heel height is just right.

A day out in Birmingham

Top Miss Selfridge | Skirt H&M | Shoes Zara

As I mentioned on Friday, my mum and I took a trip to Birmingham to go shopping. I do love to shop and it was lovely to spend a day with her as I don't get to see her nearly as much as I would like. We mainly stayed inside the Bullring, only venturing out to the Mailbox to feed my Mac addiction as the service at the Selfridges counter was awful, I know quite a few people have had bad experiences at Mac but this was the first time I've experienced it and I know that next time I go I know I won't be going back to that one. That's enough of the negativity as everything else about the day was lovely.

In selfridges I got my beautiful handbag, made a cheeky Nars purchase and spent a lot of time wondering around the food court, how cute is that bull. I also got some tasty Macarons, the pistachio one was my favourite followed closely by the blue one on the left which crazily enough was marshmallow fluff. We popped to Pizza Express to eat our weight in pizza and garlic bread and then off to Zara which was just awful, I got the dress from my July Wishlist that I was looking for but I can't wait until their Sale is over, I like my shops tidy. We then went to Waterstones to buy books, which we sat and read whilst drinking tea in Costa, what could be better than that? Before we went to catch our train home we went via the Mailbox and the Mac counter, the service was lovely but she did give me the wrong eyeshadow so now I have two of the same one but that's my fault for not checking.

All in all I had a great day, what's your favourite place to go for a shopping trip?

I've finally found my perfect Handbag and It was meant to be.

If you read my post on my search for a new everyday handbag (if you haven't then you can read it here) the you will know that I have been hunting high and low for my perfect bag. The one I have now was actually on my list but it was the one that I dismissed as the 'never going to happen, way too much money' version. However thanks to my wonderful mama, I'm now the proud owner of the Jimmy Choo 'Rosalie' Bag. 

Isn't it beautiful? This is something that my mum has been trying to buy me for a while now, as soon as she found out there was a bag with my name she decided I was having it, as it's the first time it's ever happened, normally anything with my name has to be specially ordered . The only catch was the price, even now I own it it's eye watering, so when she told me she wanted to buy it for my 21st back in March I promptly refused, It was a lovely gesture but I just couldn't let her do it. So she waited and the other day we went to the Bullring and she oh so casually suggested we look at handbags, this was her plan all the long as she knew that once I had seen it I wouldn't be able to resist it. She has learnt from the best,  my Nan, who was pretty Ninja at making sure she payed for things and next thing I knew I was stood on the escalator back down with my new baby in my hand. It was clearly fate as obviously it's named after (I like to think this, don't tell me I'm wrong) and also it was the last one left, clearly it was always meant to be mine!

This is my first designer anything and I feel so lucky to have it and so grateful to my mum for buying it for me, it's not something I take lightly as we didn't have a lot of money in my childhood and she has worked so hard to change that and I know just how happy and proud she feels to be able to buy me something like this. It's something that I am also going to appreciate and I will look after it as well or probably better than the things that I've worked to buy for myself. Which means that this will be looked after like a child, it isn't allowed on the floor, there will be no leaky or melty things allowed anywhere near it and if anyone marks it I will not be best pleased.

So there you go, I finally have my dream bag and you'll probably be seeing it a lot on here as I'll be using it as my everyday handbag so if you like variety in your handbags then this is not the place for you. I don't mind, it's too pretty not to take everywhere with me.

July Wishlist

I say it every month but I can't believe how fast it's gone, July is nearly over and were past halfway through the year, crazy times. The weather's been just as crazy and I think I'm having a bit if a backlash from all this sunshine as I've started wanting A/W clothes that it's way too hot to wear yet, darn you fashion and your too early seasonal collections!

I think it's safe to say that I'm a bit obsessed with shoes this month (well every month) and I've mainly been wishing for high heeled barely there sandals, they just balance on the thin line between comfortable and fashionable and they're so easy to wear. I think we all know about the Zara pair but River Island have some great offerings too, this red pair is making me seriously reconsider my thoughts about me having enough pairs of heels. I've also been on the lookout for a new pair of ankle boots and this new look pair are almost perfect, almost. The only issue and it's a very petty one is that they have silver buckles and not gold, they just wouldn't got with many things that I own and If I'm spending nearly £60 I want to be able to wear them with every outfit.  If you know where I can find a pair like this but with gold hardware then please let me know, I'd really appreciate the tip. Keeping with the shoe theme we have this gorgeous Ruby Slippers Necklace from Tatty Devine, it's just amazing, If I didn't have to pay my rent then I would already own this. I'm obsessed with all shoes, glitter and the Wizard of Oz so it can't get much more perfect than this. I'm also loving statement necklaces at the moment, I've been wearing quite simple outfits and adding a little something with statement jewelry for a while now and this would be a lovely piece to own. It's not too expensive and it's the kind of thing that will look great in summer and would be a good transitional piece for A/W.

Two pieces I'm dying to get my hands on are the Leopard print blazer and this gorgeous red dress which surprise, surprise are from Zara, they know how to make me spend my money. The blazer would be a great jacket for autumn and leopard print is classic so with the right pieces I could style it out season after season.  The dress is something else that I think would be a good investment piece, It's a shame you can't see the back detailing of this dress in the picture but it's stunning. I've actually been thinking about buying this for a few weeks and when I finally made my decision last week to my disappointment it turns out it's sold out, I'm hoping that as it's part of their new collection that they will be restocking it. Another item that I've been going back and forth about buying is this Zara Shopper Bag, If you saw my post a few weeks ago then you'll know that I've been looking for a new black handbag and this is a good option, It looks roomy and practical but still chic at the same time. My only issue is that it looks a little bit too pristine, I tend to buy bags that are a little bit more roughed up as it doesn't annoy me as much if they get any scratches or marks.

OOTD: Life's so sweet.

Jon and I finally got a day off together on Monday so we decided to spend it together just because we could really, it's not very often we get a day together so we made the most of it and the sunshine as were both at work this week and this was our chance to enjoy the sunshine. It was a pretty relaxing day with a trip to Nando's, which was a bit disappointing as I decided to get the chips instead of my usual mash and instantly regretted it but it was nice to have something different for once. After that we went for a walk in the sunshine and I fulfilled my need for coffee at starbucks and then on to the cinema to see the fast and furious 6 (which was okay by the way but a bit to long for my liking, there's only so long pretty men can distract me from the fact I'm watching a film about cars being blown up.).

I tried to keep it casual but I love my heels and lipstick too much so I love these sandals as they are simple enough to wear in the daytime but glamorous enough for a date as I pretty much decided the whole day was one big date so I needed to make a bit of an effort. As it was pretty hot I didn't feel like wearing a lot of layers so I settled for wearing my cuffed jeans and and an oversized t-shirt to hide the food baby I ended up with. A little of my favourite red lipstick -  Mac Russian Red and my usual handbag and I was ready to go ...which was only about forty five minutes after Jon had finished getting ready but he's now learnt that he can watch whatever he wants on tv whilst I'm putting my face on without any arguments from me so he's happy to wait.

Blue Moon.

Yesterday Jon and I took a trip to Nottingham to buy him some new clothes, I never realised how hard it is to get a man to choose clothes but that's a whole other story. As it was sunny I felt that it was the perfect maxi skirt weather, I have quite a few maxi skirts, they're just so easy to wear and it means I don't have to worry about the state of my pale legs just yet. After a small relationship meltdown in the menswear departement of Next where I may or may not have considered strangling Jon with a pair of 32W 34L jeans and Jon may or may not have considered not taking me home with him, we sat in the town square for a while which was so lovely in the sunshine before popping into starbucks for a caramel latte (for me) where I found that they've brought back my favourite Banana nut muffins from a few years ago which made my day as they are my favourite muffins in the world (just a hint in case anyone ever wants to donate one to me) Is anyone else as excited about this as me. In the evening we went to see Iron Man 3 (good but very, very long) and go for a Nando's. I had my usual beanie Pitta with mash and Side Salad in case anyone would like to know and I've come to realise that I could live off of Nando's for the rest of my life. It was definitely the kind of day that I needed, Life's been very hectic lately, I seem to have been busy being busy but hopefully life can get back to it's usual stressful but copeable level soon.

May Luxury Wishlist

I've been slacking a little on the blogging front lately, life has just been kicking my arse for a while so how better to relax than looking at pretty clothes I can't afford whilst drinking a proper cup of tea, spoiler: There is no better way, unless you have cake too, that always makes things better.

The Row Hunting Stretch Jersey Dress - £415
 Every one needs a perfect little black dress and If I had the pennies this one would be mine. Long sleeves to hide my usual fake tan disasters as I always fail on the bit of my wrist that goes into my hands (you all know where I mean) Low shoulders to show off the only bit of me that tans nicely, bodycon style and short enough to get the legs out but not so short the world can see everything that I don't want them to see. Which is a lot of words to describe such a simple dress but basically I just really like it so if anyone knows where I can get a cheaper version please let me know.

Chanel Vintage Black Leather Quilted Shoulder Bag - £2,300
It's a little bit materialistic but one of my goals in life is to be able to buy myself a classic chanel bag, I don't want anyone to buy it for me, I want to earn the money all by myself  so that everytime I look at it I'll feel a little sense of achievement. When I do it'll be one very similar to this as it's such an iconic style and of course black and chanel goes with everything.

Vivienne Westwood Mini Bas Relief Pearl Bracelet - £90.00
I love Vivienne Westwood jewellery and this little number is just perfect. The pink toned pearls are so lovely and I love the diamond detailing on the orb. It's another symbol that's instantly recognisable but it's not too in your face and of course you can't go wrong with pearls.

The Row Fefon Silk Organza Maxi Skirt - £1,345
I have a little bit of a thing for maxi skirts and by that I mean I own about ten and I practically live in them all summer. They're so much easier to wear than mini skirts and I don't have to constantly worry about my legs burning, the perils of being so pale (thanks Dad.) It's such a simple piece but it make a statement because of the lovely raspberry colour and it's a great piece for the summer, I'd probably end up wearing this with black accessories but there are so many colours that would work with it.
One Vintage Jeanette Tunic Dress - £1,100
The thing that mainly drew me in to liking this dress is that it looks like a purple version of the dress Kimberly  Wyatt wore to perform on got to dance last year, I love her and the dance was beautiful, you can see it and the dress here (Also just realised I took a class by the guy she's dancing with which is a bit exciting.) That little anecdote aside,  it's a stunning dress and I'd love to find a cheaper version of it for the summer.

Michael Kors Resort Tweed Motorcyle Jacket - £320
I love that this is a mix of two classics, the biker jacket and a tweed jacket but it works so well. It's difficult to see here but it has gold chain detailing on the pockets which is such a nice touch.

Saint Laurent Studded Leather Sandals - £945
I'm not very good at spring/summer style, I wish I could be one of those people who happily buys cream pr nude accesories and shoes but I never feel right wearing them, it's just not me. So these shoes are perfect, they're sandals so I wouldn't look silly wearing them in hot weather but as they're black and studded they have just enough toughness, for lack of  a better word, about them to keep me happy.

I always feel that when it comes to jewellery simple and gold is the way to go, this doesn't look like much but it's just so elegant and it could be worn with any outfit to add just a little bit of something special.

Chloé The Alice Medium Leather Tote - £1,175
I'm still loving the monochrome trend and I probably will be for the rest of my life, it's just such an easy combination to wear. This bag is a lovely nod to the trend and will look good for years to come as it's such a timeless style but then again Chloé have always known exactly what they're doing when it comes to making stylish handbags.

March Wishlist

Miss Selfridge Best Friend Word Bracelet - £6.50

As much as I love big statement jewelry pieces I'm also always drawn to delicate gold jewelry like this little lovely. To be honest I don't really get how this is a best friend bracelet as It just says best friends on the backing card it comes from so if you took it off there you'd never know. It's still a lovely piece of jewelry and it would be great as a present for a friend or just for yourself which is my intention.

Topshop Skater Rib Snood - £16.00

I have an obsession with scarves/snoods, I can't justify it any more than that really as this isn't even a very exciting scarf/snood. Basically I just love scarves/snoods and that is why this is here. I also really like saying and typing the word snood. That is all.

River Island Asymmetric Tshirt - £15.00

Another Item that I can't really justify why it's here other than I also like plain t shirts, this one has a bit of an exciting hem at least so it's slightly different and unusual except it isn't different and unusual at all but I could wear it with many, many different items...I'll stop trying to pretend it's an exciting plain black t shirt now, I just like it.

MAC Lipstick in Vegas Volt - £14.00

I've been having a bit of a love affair with bold lips for a while now and whilst I love my russian red, It's not really a very summery colour. Enter Vegas Volt, A bright coral colour (which seems to be quite orange on the swatches I've seen) that is a perfect summer shade. I don't have any orange lipsticks so this would be something new for me and would be easier to wear than Morange which is the other shade I have my eye on.

Topshop Fluro Underwired Lace Bandeau - £14.00

I love wearing bandeaus under vests and tshirts with low armholes or backs and I think this would be a nice little nod to the neon trend without the risk of being mistaken for being in fancy dress as a highlighter pen, unless of course that's what your going for. I will work my way up to one of the neon jumper's I've had my little eye on but for now I'd be happy with this little lovely.

Topshop Reim2 Skinny Strappy Sandals - £50.00

I love delicate strappy sandals, I find they're so easy to wear as they always look good but they're never too much. Sadly these have now sold out but I'm sure as it gets to summer there will be lots of different versions out there for me to purchase.

Topshop Knitted Zip Back Jumper - £36

I'm not a big fan of Topshop knitwear as I've never bought anything from their range that I haven't regretted just a little as I think it's a bit overpriced for the quality that it is. Saying that I think this is a lovely colour for spring and I think the zip detailing on the back is a cute way of making this a little bit different. I think I may just buy it anyway and deal with the guilt as I don't really have any jumpers suitable for spring and I really do like the colour.

Rihanna For River Island Grey Thigh Split Sweat Maxi Skirt - £40.00

I did actually think about picking up a few things from this collection however I will admit that as much as I love Rihanna, love River Island and  love basics with a twist, which was basically the idea for this collection it seems, It was extremely overpriced. There isn't really anything there that you can't get from somewhere else for cheaper or even make yourself if you so wished, so it doesn't really seem worth it. I still love most of the items but I think I'm going to give it a few weeks and see if I still want them and If they haven't sold out get them then.

River Island Contrast Bow Long Sleeve Dolly Blouse - £22.00

I love blouses as I just think they are such easy items to wear whilst still making it look like I made an effort in the morning which I don't really enjoy doing. I know, I know bad blogger but for me 9am is a massive lie in so most mornings I'm a bit of a zombie. Which is why I'm thankful for coffee and blouses like this for making my morning routine so much easier. Also it has a bow, You can't go wrong with something that has a bow.

Topshop Harness Jersey Body - £25.00

You would think with the amount of time I spend in leotards that I wouldn't want to wear them in my spare time, this is strangely enough not the case and I actually own far too many bodies/leotards that I can't wear to dance in. I love the straps that this has and how the lace panels on the sides are a sexy enough but without taking it too far. I think this would look great with either a midi skirt or high waisted jeans to balance out how revealing it is.

Miss Selfridge Indigo Ultra Soft - £36.00

Speaking of High Waisted Jeans, I'm thinking I might have to treat myself to this pair. This time last year I had at least six pairs of jeans and I think I wore them nearly every day, Now I thinkI have one pair and I can't remember the last time I wore a pair. I'm going for high waisted this time as I'm sick of low rise jeans that you can't sit down in without being paranoid that your revealing all to the world ans spend the whole time checking to make sure your top is pulled down

Topshop Peach Vibrant Ballerina Pumps - £16.00.

Ballet Flats are my favourite everyday shoes, I wear them a lot when I'm really busy as you don't have to think about whether they go with an outfit or whether they're going to be comfy, you can just pop them on and go. This topshop version is my favourite, I've lost count of how many pairs I've owned in various colours over the years. They're so comfortable and last me a good six months, which with how often I wear them and how much walking I tend to do, is actually a pretty long time.

Highlights from LFW

I know this is a little late as were now into Paris Fashion week but my favourites from there and Milan will be on their way soon I've just been a little bit Ill and just didn't feel like looking theough pictures of beautiful people whilst I looked like a zombie. I loved LFW as I feel as though here in Britain we have such varied shows, There doesn't seem to be that many trends as every designer just does their own thing. Hopefully one day I'll get to go to a few shows but until then It's lovely to sit back with a cup of tea and flick through all of the catwalk pictures. Here's my pick of my favourite shows and individual looks.

Burberry Prorsum
I love the way that Burberry re-invents it's classic trench year after year, especially the studded version they sent down the catwalk this year. Along with the gorgeous trench coats the rest of the looks had a feminine elegance with a bit of an edge with bodycon silhouettes and an contrast between leather elements and simple fabrics, I particularly love the third look as although it's a pencil skirt, they've managed to put a new spin on a classic with the leather and metal details. They also had great accesories with kitten heels, embellished and slouchy clutches as well as those gorgeous metal bar belts that have already made their way into many street style outfits.

Felder Felder
This collection was a mix of leather seperates, Floaty dresses, slouchy knits and sharp tailoring which shouldn't have worked but somehow it seemed to. With the colourscheme they mainly stuck to black and burgundy/oxblood which seems to be a trend every year with a few rich blues and golds here and there. It was difficult to choose just four looks as all of the outfits were consistently well put together and they had some great pieces that won't need any changes made to be worn by the masses. I particularly love the patent  trouser suit, which seems to be a trend among bloggers already and the lovely quilted leather pencil skirt.

Jonathan Saunders

This collection was a gorgeous mix of bright colours, elegant retro silhouettes and textured prints. All of the looks had a certain sex appeal which was offset by the unusual use of strong colours and textures. Leather and pvc were also used throughout the collection to emphasize the models bodies, alot of the looks were slightly too literal for me but do I love the idea of of leather and lace being in style again come winter. My particular favourites were the brightly coloured coats including this lovely rust coloured number and that gorgeous black and turquoise sweetheart neck strapless dress and the bottom part is exquisite.

Julien MacDonald
The thing I love about Julien MacDonalds catwalk collections is that he doesn't even try to pretend that he's designing clothes for everyday wear, he has high street diffusion lines for that, No, his collection is made specifically and apologetically for movie stars, popstars and red carpets. The collection was full of metallics and bodycon silhouettes as well as a number of dresses that wouldn't look out of place on strictly come dancing (apparently Julien's a big fan) such as the blue number above and although some may see them as tacky, I'm going to be honest it made me like the collection even more. I'm kind of programmed to love a bit of short, shiny and tacky and who honestly doesn't want to put on one of those dresses and pretend that they're Ola or Flavia? My favourite looks have to be the two metallic and floral patterned bodycon dresses and the gorgeous gold art deco style gown.

L'Wren Scott
L'wren Scott never fails to create gorgeous and elegant looks, this time around with what seemed to me as a nod to the eighties in the best possible way with sharp shouldered suits and incredible collars and silhouettes. Metallics were used throughout the whole collection to add an air of opulence to  every look. I love that ladylike looks seem to be coming back in fashion as it's a look I always adore wearing.

Temperly London
This was my favourite collection from LFW, I struggled to pick my favourite looks because I adore so many of them. Temperley London isn't a brand that I normally think to look at as over the past few years it hasn't been to my taste but that's all changed as this collection was a stunning mix of retro and feminine sihouettes, bold patterns and a little bit of old school elegance. It's a brand that's known for their gowns and they didn't disappoint, I particularly love the contast of the leather, eyecathing neckline and elegant skirt in the last look and I also loved the more casual outfits as they had a ladylike edge that I'm definitely going to be taking inspiration from this year.
